SIAMS
SIAMS inspections are carried out under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005 and provide a consistent way of evaluating Church of England and Methodist schools. The inspection considers how effective the school is as a church school and how well its Christian vision shapes the life, learning and development of the whole school community.

The inspection focuses particularly on the impact of the school’s provision and considers:

  • how the school’s Christian character supports and includes all learners
  • the impact of collective worship on pupils, staff and the wider school community
  • the quality and effectiveness of religious education
  • how well leaders and governors support and develop the school as a Church of England school
