At St Laurence-in-Thanet Church of England Junior Academy, we use Class Dojo to help keep our school community connected. Class Dojo allows parents and carers to see updates from school, celebrate children’s learning and receive useful reminders.

ClassDojo includes:

Individual messaging
This allows parents and carers to message their child’s class teacher. Messages should only be sent during normal working hours and staff may not be able to respond straight away.

Class Story
Class teachers may share updates, photographs and reminders about learning and activities taking place in class.

School Story
Whole-school updates, celebrations, reminders and key messages may be shared here.

Class Dojo can be accessed through a web browser, but we recommend downloading the free Class Dojo app to a phone or tablet for the best experience.

Class Dojo protocol

The purpose of Class Dojo is to give parents and carers an insight into school life and their child’s learning. It helps families talk to children about what they have been doing in school and celebrate their achievements.

Class Dojo is a closed system and can only be accessed by parents and carers who have been given a login.

Please remember that Class Dojo should not be used for urgent or important messages, as staff may not see messages during the school day. Important information, such as changes to collection arrangements, medical appointments or urgent messages, should always be shared with the school office.

Please do not use Class Dojo to report pupil absence. If your child is absent from school, please contact the school office in the usual way.

If you are not connected to Class Dojo, please contact the school office and we will be happy to help.
