We are an ‘OPAL School’ https://outdoorplayandlearning.org.uk/about-us/our-vision/ here at St Laurence. We are part of a national network of schools which are leading the way on enhancing outdoor provision for all pupils. Although we are a Junior School, we recognise that our children still need play opportunities which in the past remained within Early Years and KS1 provision.
Our outdoor resources are being developed to include:
- Den building
- Digging area
- Adventure playground areas
- Outdoor Lego
- Scooter track
- Fort building
- Tyres
- Mud Kitchen….. and more to come!
Our children’s playtimes are engaging, fun and build essential skills. We have clothing and equipment to be outside on the field all year round and are not afraid of playing in the rain!
